Mark Zickel, Sonic Impact Technologies, discusses, in our exclusive audio interview from the show floor, the NXT SoundpaX loudspeakers, the world’s first “flat-pack”, corrugated cardboard speakers.
Using NXT’s unique SurfaceSound Distributed Mode Loudspeaker technology, SoundpaX
(MSRP: $49) combines specially selected composite cardboard with the latest
neodymium NXT exciter to achieve high quality sound in a nearly disposable
bio-degradable form.
SoundpaX can be imprinted with a design or logo are
ultra-light and easy to fold away and can be set-up in an instant.
Sonic Impact will also offer a stand alone, fully portable 15watt per channel amp with universal power supply. The T
amplifier (MSRP: $30) will drive most sound sources including portable CD
players, portable radios and portable MP3 players. The amp bundled with the SoundpaX selling for around $75.
