If you ordered yourself one of the slick dual screen Asus Taichi ultrabooks when they went up for sale not long ago at Amazon, TigerDirect, or another website Asus has announced some bad news. This cool little dual screen ultrabook has been delayed, at least until December. Asus says that the delay could be even longer.
Asus is mum on the details for the delay offering no reason. The Taichi has dual 11.6-inch screens with one on the lid of the ultrabook that is touch sensitive allowing it to be used like a tablet. The second 11.6-inch screen is on the inside the ultrabook and allows it to be used like a traditional notebook.
Asus has been selling two different versions of the machine ranging in price from about $1300 up to about $1600 depending on the processor and the amount of storage. The machine is reportedly listed as out of stock or discontinued online, and the websites has stopped taking orders.
