Popular Dell XPS 8500 for $599 = Deal of the Day

About two weeks ago, we broke news on the high-end config XPS 8500 from Dell with Black Friday special pricing (which was avilable for order online through some linking wizardry). Today, Dell is making sure they're selling lal the XPS 8500 desktop they can for the holiday season with special pricing on the base configuration model with Core i5 processor.

$599 - XPS 8500 Desktop Core i5, GeForce GT 620

At this price point, this configuration is now cheaper than both what it was priced at on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The deal ends in about 14 hours as of time of writing, so if you need a speedy machine without wanting to break the bank (or sweat of building your own), this is a good option with plenty of room for future expansion.

Dell did the right choice by pairing this desktop with plenty of RAM at 8GB, plus a fast 7200 RPM SATA III hard drive with 1 terabyte of storage space. The GT 620, while an entry-level GPU, is still plenty fast when compared to integrated graphics. You can always upgrade this machine with a SSD or a faster GPU once the budget and usage scenario makes sense.
