Call of Duty Black Ops II Grossed $1 Billion in 15 Days
If you're a fan of the video game franchise Call of Duty, you may be wondering how well the latest installment in the franchise is doing. Black Ops II achieved a significant milestone 15 days after its launch. By November 13 the game racked up $1 billion in gross sales.
So far over 150 million hours have been logged online playing Black Ops II via Xbox live and the PlayStation Network. The huge amount of money the video game grossed in 15 days makes it faster to the $1 billion mark than the massive hit 2009 3-D movie Avatar.
It took avatar 17 days to reach the $1 billion mark. Activision is using this as a breaking point to prove that people are increasingly turning to video games for their entertainment dollar.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
