Abacus launches a cheaper version of the Fossil Palm OS Wrist PDA Series.

As reported recently on I4U the Fossil Palm OS watches are available for Pre-Order at Amazon.com.

The Abacus Palm OS Watch has the same technical specifications as the Fossil Series:
Memory: 2 MB (RAM), 2 MB (Flash)
Colors: 16 level grayscale
Display size: 1.4-inch diagonal
Resolution: 160 x 160 pixels
Processor: Motorola DragonballVZ 33 MHz
Operating system: Palm OS 4.1

It seems the Fossil and the Abacus have the same internal technology and only differ in the exterior and brand. Which is a good thing.

What is interesting, Abacus offers a Wrist PDA SDK for Download. This could be huge, if the developer community adopts this platform to port Palm OS applications to work on the Wrist PDA effectively.

The Abacus Palm OS wrist watches sell for under 200USD. You can pre-order the Abacus Palm OS Watch at Amazon.com.
