Over the weekend Engadget published iPhone 4G photos that first thought to be fake, but now Engadget has turned up more evidence supporting that these photos are indeed legit. Engadget confirms with a leaked iPad photo that the iPhone 4G shots appear to come from an Apple test lab.
Now that the photos of the new iPhone are taken more seriously, John Gruber connects the dots and claims that the Apple is slapping a glass or ceramic back plate on the iPhone 2010.
Update:
Woah! Gizmodo managed to get their hands on this Apple iPhone 4G prototype and published a detailed review.
He supports this claim with a 2006 patent Apple filed for Ceramic enclosures. The leaked iPhone 4G photos show that the new iPhone has a flat back.
Additionally fitting photos of the inside of the alleged new iPhone appeared on the Chinese site WeiPhone. See them on MacRumors.
If the photos are real than the new iPhone 2010 is going to be very different from the current model. Rumored iPhone 4G features include higher resolution screen, Super OLED and additional front facing camera.
