DeAgostini publishes a weekly magazine in Japan called RealRobot.
The Magazine comes complete with parts and instrcutions to "roll your own" robot at home. The little blue ant like robot features sensors and has enough intelligence to execute move around avoiding objects or follow a path.
Japanese PC Watch Title has a review about the RealRobot Magazine featuring many photos.
