Oh darn. It seems we'll all have to wait longer to pay Hulu for their services. AllThingsD has heard from “people familiar with the company” that Hulu Plus will not be up and running by May 24. Previously, that was the date we all expected Hulu's subscription service to launch on.
The premium Hulu service is likely to cost around $10/month and will give users access to a much larger selection of “premium” broadcast shoes. This subscription will also give access to users with gadgets like the iPad. Regular Hulu will stay free, although we're likely to see some of its best shows moved over to the “premium” section.
As long as I can continue to watch old episodes of Sliders for free, Hulu will stay dear in my heart.
