Apex Extreme
Apex the low-cost DVD manufacturer announces to venture into Entertainment PCs later this year.
Californian Apex Digital Inc., which specializes in $50 DVD players and other low-cost consumer electronics devices, is planning so called Entertainment PCs. If Apex is going to use Microsofts Entertainment PC OS platform is not clear, they might use the cheaper MediaBolic Platform. It seems they will use the Intel Prescott CPU.

In January Apex announced the Apex Extreme Game Console that will come out in late Spring.
Apex has made 1 Billion Dollars in revenues in 2003 an d that with only about 80 employees. Apex started in 1997 and is after Sony the number 2 in terms of DVD player units shipped in the US.
