The iPhone 4G is already on a world tour. What is supposed to be a secret until June 7th has appeared already in a bar in San Jose and in Asia. Now a Czech blog apparently also got their hands on an iPhone 4G. They had the great idea of putting it under a microscope to look at the screen.
Their conclusion is that the iPhone 4G is really going HD with a high 960x640px resolution using an IPS LCD Panel.

More details on this can be found on SuperiPhone.cz. Via Engadget.

Back in March the rumor about the iPhone 4G having a huge 960x480px resolution appeared the first time from Daring Fireball. This new high resolution brings the iPhone HD pretty close to the iPad resolution of 1024x768px.
The resolution alone will be enough reason for me to upgrade to the new iPhone 4G from my iPhone 3GS.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
