The iPhone 4G is already on a world tour. What is supposed to be a secret until June 7th has appeared already in a bar in San Jose and in Asia. Now a Czech blog apparently also got their hands on an iPhone 4G. They had the great idea of putting it under a microscope to look at the screen.
Their conclusion is that the iPhone 4G is really going HD with a high 960x640px resolution using an IPS LCD Panel.

Back in March the rumor about the iPhone 4G having a huge 960x480px resolution appeared the first time from Daring Fireball. This new high resolution brings the iPhone HD pretty close to the iPad resolution of 1024x768px.
The resolution alone will be enough reason for me to upgrade to the new iPhone 4G from my iPhone 3GS.
