Verizon is now testing Apple iPads on their network. BGR has heard from a “highly placed source” that Big Red is currently testing a CDMA-compatible pad. LTE was mentioned as well, but that seems like a very long shot at this point. Verizon's first LTE phone isn't due to hit until mid-2011.
4G-or-not, this is the most reliable info we've heard about a Verizon iPad. If they do launch an iPad, thousands of on-the-fence tablet aficionados could find their resolve waver before the release of a non-Apple slate. Apple's gorgeous gadget combined with a great 3G network might be too much to pass up.
