Samsung introduces Personal Video Player based ont the Microsoft Portable Media Center OS.
Update 07/12/04: Now on Sale at Amazon.com for $499.88!
Samsung goes on to say on their Yepp YH-999 site to talk about beeing the first to deliver a PMC device. Not sure what criteria they base that on, but iRiver also has a PMC Version of their Personal Video Player announced. The Samsung Video Player was first shown at the CES 2004 and is supposed to hit US stores in July.
In any case the YEPP YH-999 looks pretty good and features a 3.5" LCD screen, 20GB HD and USB 2.0.
It measures 3.8"x4.2"x08" and weighs 7.9 ounces.
More details on eHomeUpgrade and on Samsung Product YEPP YH-999 Product Site (Cool Site with Videos, Photos and interviews).
So this summer looks like the RCA Lyra RD2780 and the Archos av380 finally get some competition and we will have more portable MP4 players to choose from.
