The next line of Sony Ericsson “Walkman” smartphones may be powered by Android. SEMC Blog reports that the ailing company is looking to Android to revitalize their brand. Apparently, they liked their first Android experience, the Xperia X10.

This new Walkman will sport a 2.6” TFT touchscreen display and a 5.1 MP camera. Style-UP covers are supported, and the OS will be either Android 1.6 or 2.1. There will be a big emphasis on media playing, but no details are known at this time.
