The web is buzzing about a new Apple Gadget. The new Airport Express is a wireless AirPort Base Station, a wireless relay, a music streamer for stereos and powered speakers and a wireless print server all in one little white box.
The Airport Express enables a 802.11g (54Mbps) wireless network. The killer feature is though the music streaming from a PC or Apple computer to any stereo in the house. Apple offers a special iTunes software called AirTunes to enable the streaming. At $129 this is bad news for Slim Devices. They offer their Squeezebox for $199.
Apple seems to have hit a homerun with this Gadget. See Apple's site for more details. Airport Express with airTunes is available at the Apple Online store.
