KiSS is supposed to start selling the already announced KiSS DP-558 in August for around $700 in Europe.
The KiSS DP-558 DVD Player combines a ton of features. It can playback of many different formats, from DVD, Video with Divx 3.11, 4 and 5 and MPEG-4, or Audio with MP3, Standard Audio CDs and Ogg Vorbis, or Pictures with JPEG.
Connected to a Broadband Internet Connection it will enable the user to play Internet Radio Station on his Player with WebRadio or enable the user to view or play his Audio/Video/Picture files from his PC with the user Friendly Software KiSS PC-Link.
It is also a digital Video recorder with its TV Tuner and built-in 80GB Hard Drive. KiSS is supposedly providing free access to the EPG via the broadband connection for all European Channels based on a story on Heise.de (german).
The DVD Player is also preloaded with simple games. The KiSS DP-558 also comes complete with the standard CD/MP3, Ogg Vorbis, DivX®, XviD, CD-RW and DVD+-RW playback.
