The introduction of the Sony Network Walkman NW-HD1 was this weeks highlight. If the NW-HD1 will have a chance in the market against the Apple iPod will have to be seen.

Update 07/19/04: Sony NW-HD1 on sale at AudioCubes for $569.00.

Sony launched a nice looking japanese Web Site for the NW-HD1, definitly worth seeing. It features several photos of this new Sony Music Player.
Japanese Sonystyle online store starts selling the NW-HD1 for 52,500yen (484.5 USD). The Sony Network Walkman comes with USB 2.0 cradle, headphones, SonicStage 2.1 software, USB cable, AC adapter and pouch.
In Japan the NW-HD1 is available in silver and black.
The Sony NW-HD1 will come in August to the USA, most likely just in one color for $400 (see Sony US Press-Release, like always.
