Apple TV could soon become more than just a hobby. The New York Times reports on a flurry of rumors from people familiar with the company (and former Apple employees) who say that a new connected TV solution is on its way. It is not clear yet whether this will mean an update to Apple TV or an entirely new product.
Some of the rumors claim that iOS will run the new box, while others say that another design group within the company is putting it together. There have even been rumors of an Apple designed connected TV.
At this point, what we have is little better than vague murmurs. If Apple does have a new TV solution brewing, we aren't likely to know much more until release is imminent.
