QuenteCafe reports about Extreme Gravity Racing, which is a downhill race for vehicles with no engines to compete in (fancy name for Soap box racing).
Major manufacturers such as Porsche, Volvo, Mazda, Bentley, Nissan and General Motors are involved in this competition. This is an interesting competition because it allows competitors to fully focus on design rather than their performance engines. My guess is that there is a weight restriction on the vehicles. Well I still prefer a Porsche with a motor, like the Porsche Carrera GT.
The Donn Handicap may not be what it used to be, and it's certainly debatable whether it remains a legitimate Grade 1. But it sure was a great betting race...and isn't that, in fact, the most important thing? I'd take this race over those five horse true ...
