Now Dell officially announced (see rumor story from monday) a 5GB Dell DJ mp3 player to challenge the Apple iPod mini.
Dell has redesigned their DJ music player in a silver and black case with trimmer form factors.
The Dell DJ 5 features a 5GB hard drive and weighs 4.4ounces. It supports WMA with digital rights management. The new Dell DJ 5 will retail for $199 and the new version of the Dell DJ 20 for $249.
There are many new 5GB iPod mini alternatives now available. We reported about the Rio Carbon, Creative Zen Micro and Virgin Electronics Player. The Zen Micro and the Rio Carbon have a interesting design an the it factor. Dell is going of course the budget route. Not sure if it works though. The Rio Carbon is also already available for $214.99 at Amazon.com. More bestselling MP3 Player.
