Gear Live catched and reported about the Free Stuff trend from the very beginning. A couple month back many people thought getting free iPods or Flat-screens is a scam. Today I guess most understood that is just a traditional marketing concept taken to the web (Interview with OfferCentric). Also I think there are lots of copy-cat companies now and who knows if those always come through with the promissed gadgets after collecting the required referrals.
To automate and speed up referral collection Gearlive launched a new interesting service called Gearlive Quick Trade.
