Telecoms Korea has an interesting story about the fact that Samsung already introduced MP3 Player Mobile Phones in 1999.

Samsung Electronics first released SCH M210, SPH-M2100 (see photo) and SPH M2500 in Korea and the US. The Samsung MP3 Phones had a 32MB flash memory chip built-in for music storage. Back then MP3 Phones flopped. Today there are 60 mobile phone models that support MP3 on the Korean market.
