Actroid Robot at the World Expo 2005 in NEDO Pavilion

yes this is a face of a robot. Japanese Energy Technology company NEDO presents the amazing Actroid in their robot pavilion at the World Exposition 2005 in Aichi, Japan.

We reported about the realistic female Actroid robot the first time in 2003.

The Actroid understands naturally spoken words and can carry on a conversation with a guest, answering in a natural voice. The Actroid speaks Chinese, Korean, English and Japanese. When communicating with a guest the ACTROID responds with natural gestures such eye movement and smiling.
Looks like (see photo below) the actroid will sit in a booth and Expo visitors can walk up to her to ask questions. The realism is just amazing on this robot.

More details on the NEDO Expo site and Kokoro Dreams site. A video of the Actroid can be seen here.
