Sony PS3 Controller splits Fans

The Sony Playstation 3 design of the Console got received mostly well on the discussion boards around the web. The story is different for the Sony PS3 controller. It's 'extreme' boomerang shape raises eyebrows to say the least.
A friend of mine says silver plastic always looks bad. He waits for the black controller. For me I think the controller could be very ergonomic. The long ends sure will lay nicely in my hands. And anyway there is another year time to get used to it.
