Nintendo Game Boy Micro Details

As reported during the Nintendo E3 2005 press-conference yesterday, the gaming company surprised with a tiny portable game console - the Game Boy Micro.

Now that Nintendo's site is reachable again and the official press-releases are out, we can take a closer look at the new Game Boy.
The Game Boy Micro measures 4x2x0.7 inches. It weighs only 2.8 ounces. It has the same performance as the bigger Game Boy Advance SP. Nintendo is very proud of the 2 inch backlit screen they put into the Micro, which is supposedly the best Game Boy screen ever. The brightness can be adapted to adjust to indoor or outdoor light conditions.

To customize the looks of the Game Boy Micro it features removable faceplates. The system comes with a built-in, rechargeable lithium-ion battery and supports standard headphones.
No pricing information is available yet. The Nintendo Game Boy Micro is supposed to go on sale this fall.
More details on Nintendo's site.
