The Actroid human robot was first shown in 2003. In March we reported that the Actriod will be shown at the World Exposition in Aichi.
Now the University of Osaka and Kokoro Inc. announcing an improved Actriod android that is now called Repliee Q1. The Repliee Q1 has more degrees of freedom. The robot is still only sitting. The improved also skin sensors. The Repliee Q1 is apparently also simulating breathing now.
There are a couple of videos on this page showing the Repliee Q1 in action.
