Since I switched to Laser printers a long time ago, I did not follow the developments in the ink Cartridge replacement area. Continuous Flow Systems (CFS) for inkjet printers seem to be the new trend.
The ink is kept in bottles outside of the ink printers. Miniature tubes bring the ink inside the printer to the printer head. The companies offering the CFS systems say that 10x savings are possible with a CFS system.
