Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PS3 Market Share Predictions

Before anything happens, be it elections or new product launches, analysts and companies make their predictions of what will happen. Most of the time the predictions are either totally contraire or will be wrong in the end.

Microsoft's VP Peter Moore said this week that the Xbox 360 will sell 10 million Xbox 360 units worldwide within the first 12-16 months.
Tom's Hardware has a story around DFC Intelligence predictions of Sony PS3 coming out as the winner again. In the same story they also quote an analyst report by Jupiter Research that predicts a market leadership of the Microsoft Xbox 360 by 2010.

Which one of the new consoles will win is I think dependent if Sony really can recreate the game footage they showed at E3 for real. If not than Microsoft has a fair chance at winning, especially with the first mover advantage.
