Yesterday EBGames announced their Xbox 360 bundles for pre-order. GameStop announced 4 Xbox 360 bundles, including the Xbox 360 Ultimate Bundle for $1,199.83!
So this is how GameStop defines the Xbox 360 Ultimate Bundle:
Xbox 360 sytem, 11 games (Perfect Dark Collector's Edition, Project Gotham Racing 3, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Dead or Alive 4, Call of Duty 2, GUN, Quake 4, Tony Hawk's American Wasteland, Condemned, Madden NFL 06 and Kameo), Xbox 360
Wireless Controller, Xbox 360 Play and Charge Kit, Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery, Xbox Live 12 Month Card and 1 year Product Replacement Plan.
As if $1,199.83 is not high enough, GameStop charges an additional $9.99 for shipping.
EBGames only bundles 4 games to its Xbox 360 Ultimate Bundle. The price is also lower of course with $699.92 (They also charge $10 for shipping). I wonder if those two retailers get into an issue offering a Xbox 360 bundle with the same name. GameStop
definitely aims way higher with their pricing strategy. Their Core Bundle starts where EBGames' Ultimate Bundle sells for.
GameStop offers also the Xbox 360 Core Bundle, Xbox 360 Silver Bundle and the Xbox 360 Gold Bundle, besides the Xbox 360 Ultimate Bundle. The Core bundle sells for $699.91.
As reported Europe seems to have the better cards right now, with Amazon offering the Xbox 360 consoles without game bundles, which makes the entry for Xbox 360 fans much more affordable.
