If you are a NASCAR fan Fathead has the perfect room decoration for you. Fathead offers several different drivers and cars that you can hand on your wall. If your tastes lean more towards professional or college sports, Fathead can fix you up there as well with a full line of NFL, MLB, Wrestling and other Fathead’s to choose from. Read the full review to see what exactly a Fathead is.
What is a Fathead?
Fathead’s are large vinyl stickers that stick to smooth walls. The stickers are glossy and made of a thick, durable vinyl that resists tears and nicks well. The adhesive that attaches the Fathead to the wall won’t damage the finish on the wall and can be removed and reused whenever you want. Size wise the people Fatheads are literally larger than life with action shots of the players measuring in at 38” W x 90” tall. My review sample Fathead was the Lowes NASCAR, which measured in at 34” tall x 96” long.
Print quality on the Fathead is top notch with clear and legible graphics, you can read every sticker on the car and it looks like you hung a full size NASCAR on your wall. The Fathead shipped rolled up in a small cardboard box about the same height as the sticker inside. A small roller was also included to smooth the Fathead out and ensure it sticks to the wall well. Fathead says that the stickers won’t stay on shiny walls or walls with heavy texture, so be sure your wall is both large enough and smooth enough for the Fathead to stick.
Fathead Installation
We hung the NASCAR Fathead in my sons room, his wall has flat paint and minimal texture on it, and the Fathead stuck without any issues. The NASCAR Fathead I was sent came in two pieces to make installation easier to manage. The front half of the car went on first, the second half went up, and you had to match the front and rear halves up, which was easy to do. Once the halves were aligned correctly, all I needed to do was press the sticker to the wall and go over it with the included roller to push and air bubbles from under the sticker.
The instructions for putting the Fathead up call for two adults, which would have made installation easier, but I was able to do it myself with minimal fuss. In addition to the car, a Fathead logo and Jimmie Johnson’s signature were included as well. The entire installation process took me about 15 minutes and my son was thrilled with the results, his entire wall is covered with a huge NASCAR that looks very realistic and 3D. Any fan of racing, sports or swimsuit models will love a Fathead. My review sample goes for $99, but the cost varies by product so hop over to Fathead.com and check them out.
