A user at French site GenerationMP3 has published a review of the new Archos AV 500 Portable Video Player, which will start shipping on September 27th from Archos.com.
The screen size (4 inch) of the Archos AV 500 is close to the size of the Sony PSP screen (4.2 inch), but the AV 500 is more compact than the PSP.
The reviewer, who had the AV 500 for three days says that the screen is great and that the AV 500 is a true evolution from the AV 400 series. Mentioned negatives are the lack of FM Tuner and OGG support.Read the review on GenerationMP3 (French).
The Archos AV 500 appeared on the scene again in August. It should pretty soon also be available in the United States.
