AkihabaraNews reports about a new robot available in Japan called Manoi.
The Manoi robot is based on the robot kit KHR-1 from Kondo.
The design of the Manoi looked very familiar. I actually reported about the Chroino by Japanese robot designer Takahashi Satoshi in 2004. And indeed the Manoi is designed by Takahashi Satoshi as well.
The 40cm tall Manoi is supposed to go on sale mid next year for about $1,500 USD. The Kondo KHR-1 kit sells for the same price from Japanese Gadget Exporter AudioCubes.
