So besides Sony, JVC also thinks MD is not dead yet.
The new JVC XM-C17 MD Player features a amazing 250 hour battery life when playing in LP4 mode. While that is cool, this MD player is not supporting MP3 file format as some of the Sony MD players do. Hi-MD is also not supported by the new JVC MD player line. Their tag line for this player says 'Simple is Best' -
that explains that.

Speaking of 'simple is best', I think a MP3 player is
'simple and best', compared to a MD player, but it looks like that there is still a market for MD.
