Thomas Hawk's Digital Connection reviews the Buffalo TeraStation Network attached storage (NAS).
The Buffalo TeraStation comes with up to 1.6TB of storage, which make it pretty interesting device to deploy a single device to store all your data and media digitally.
The review encountered though some issues regarding slow data transfer speeds. A Buffalo Tech representative is quoted that transfer speeds should be around 7-8 megabytes per sec. in 10/100 networks. Thomas Hawk reached far less. On the other hand a review on ZDNet confirmed the Buffalo Tech quoted ones.
Best bet is to try the Buffalo TeraStation for yourself to see if it lives up to your expectations. An alternative Terabyte NAS product is the Infrant Terabyte Disk array. Philip Greenspun has a short review of this one. The Infrant device sells for $,1,299.00.
