Samsung announces a 8MP digital camera mobile phone in Korea.

The Samsung SPH-V8200 is the world's first 8MP camera mobile phone, but is this important? Samsung released a 7MP camera phone SCH-V770 earlier this year. Clearly a 1.3MP camera phone is not that useful. The 3MP camera phones that start to come on the market I think have enough resolution. More camera features are more important than resolution at some point.

There are no close-up photos of the SPH-V8200 available yet and also features or technology specifications are not available. Samsung showed the phone at an analyst event.More details on the Korea Times or Telecoms Korea (Subscription). Photo from Korea.net.
