Samsung Introduces First WiBro Mobile Phones

Samsung is going to demonstrate WiBro mobile phones at the APEC conference next week.

Korea will become the first country to start a WiBro service commercially in the first half of next year.
WiBro (Wireless Broadband) offers 30 to 50 Mbit/s (aggregated) and works also on the move at speeds of up to 120 km/h.
The Korean pushed WiBro is competing with the WiMAX wireless broadband technology heavily pushed by Intel.

This situation reminds me on the DMB versus DVB-H mobile TV. Samsung will introduce the H1000 WiBro mobile phone and the Samsung M8000 PDA with WiBro and a WiBro interface card for laptops.
More details on Chosun. More about WiBro on Wikipedia.
