Not sure what Japanese Elecom had in mind when designing the PSP-CS500 portable speakers. Maybe it is the nearing holidays, but those speakers remind me strongly on Christmas Tree Ornaments.
The portable stereo speakers are have a sphere shape when they are closed.
50mm diameter cones are available, which output 2 x 2W. The Elecom PSP-CS500 can play without any batteries. The size is 83x77x77mm.
The speakers are available in 3 different colors at Japanese Gadget exporter AudioCubes for $35.
Speaking of AudioCubes. The hottest selling item right now from them is the pink iDog and the blue iDog, which are only available in Japan.
