The SP2000 Professional Backdrop Support System is a height adjustable stand that is designed to hold backgrounds for photography or video shoots including muslin, canvas, or paper. The stand can be height adjusted so your subjects can stand upright during a shoot and is sturdy enough for the heaviest fabrics.

The kit breaks down into a small canvas bag for transport and storage that weighs 14 pounds. The two support stands each have a large base that provides stability and keeps the background from leaning. You can also adjust the size of the base to fit tighter areas as well. Fully extended the SP2000 Professional Backdrop Support System is 8’ 6” tall and the crossbar can extend to 10-feet wide.

Fully collapsed the stands are only 4-foot tall and slip easily into their compartments in the carry bag. You can also remove the two middle sections of the cross tube that actually holds the background and have the kit be approximately 5-feet wide. All components of the kit are made from aluminum and the crossbar sections connect together by simply inserting the smaller diameter silver sections into the larger diameter tubing and giving a twist.

Setup & Use
The top of each support stand has a large wing nut that secures the crossbar and prevents it from moving during your shoot. The telescoping support stands are easy to adjust with large, knurled wing nuts that you turn 45-degrees to lock or unlock. You simply turn the wing nut, raise or lower the stand to the height you want and turn the wind nut against to secure the stands.

Square Perfect promises that the entire backdrop kit can be assembled in five minutes, and they are correct. The SP2000 Professional Backdrop Support System goes up easy, tears down, and stores easily as well. In addition to the SP2000 Professional Backdrop Support System, Square Trade also sent along one of their 100% cotton muslin backdrops in white.

The white muslin is sized perfectly for the filly extended SP2000 Professional Backdrop Support System. The muslin has a pocket sewn into the top edge of the fabric for attaching to the crossbar of the SP2000 Professional Backdrop Support System. The Square perfect muslin background can be machine washed, though 6-8% shrinkage is expected when you do. Overall dimensions of the white muslin are seamless 10’ x 13’ and the backdrop is ready to use right out of the package. It can be draped for shots or you can iron the backdrop for a smooth look perfect for shooting still life or product shots for eBay or the internet.

With appropriate lighting, the white muslin makes a perfect background for images needing a pure white background for display on websites. The fabric is non-reflective so you won’t need to worry about hot spots when lighting your photos.
