DigiTimes has unconfirmed information that BenQ will withdraw from the MP3 player market in Taiwan.
BenQ has the Joybee mp3 player line on the market. BenQ did not comment on this report, and it also only concerns the Taiwanese market so far.
The reason cited for the withdrawal is the stiff competition from Apple iPods.
Olympus just recently stopped making mp3 players.
