Are More Xbox 360 Consoles Coming Before the Holidays?

As far as we know the Xbox 360 is still completely out of stock at retailers and online stores. Only place since the launch day where Xbox 360 consoles change owners is still on eBay.

I would expect this week a statement from Microsoft that praises of course their launch sale success. I hope though MS gives a clear statement to consumers if there are additional shipments of Xbox 360s still coming to the United States before the Holidays or not. If not than it is clear that consumers have to pay a premium on eBay to get a new Xbox 360 for the Holiday season - which is of course not great.

The European launch of the Xbox 360 starts this Friday. Microsoft somewhat confirmed that 300,000 Xbox 360 are available at launch day for Europe. 300,000 for all of Europe? Save bet that they will be sold out on launch day. Dead or Alive 4 got postponed by Tecmo by a week and will not be available at launch day (December 10th). DoA 4 is seen as the killer app in Japan for the initial Xbox 360 success. Maybe Microsoft can recall the Xbox 360 consoles they allocated for Japan and configure them for the US market.

Currently Xbox 360 Premium Consoles sell for about $700 on eBay.
