The Star Wars R2-D2 robot available on Hammacher and Schlemmer does not offer any holographic video displays, but it is voice controlled.
Compared to the Robby the Robot replica, the R2-D2 actually can roam your
apartment. R2 obeys to more than 40 voice commands (e.g.: Turn around! Move forward two units!) and he plays games like tag, using an infra-red sensor to search for people in a room.
R2-D2 has a sensor that helps him follow behind you, or it can be set to detect motion, turning R2 into a room sentry that sounds an alarm when a secured area is invaded.
Hammacher Schlemmer is selling R2-D2 for $119.95.
The R2-D2 robot replica measures 15"x7 1/2"x10 1/2".
