Your living room is a former airplane hangar? Then the 120 inch LED TV Candeo from Philips is for you.
The Philips Candeo LED screen was introduced at the IFA 2005 show in Berlin. The official US launch of this giant TV will be at the CES 2006 in Las Vegas.
Philips actually already shipped a couple of Candeo LED TVs in the United States. The 6mm version is
selling for $198,000 and the 10mm version $98,755.
The ideal viewing distance is between 5 and 50m, that is why you need a giant living room if you want this 120 inch 16:9 TV for your home. Philips actually told me that they have 3 quotations out for NBA players.
Of course this LED TV is aimed mostly at companies, hotels or advertisers.
The outdoor version of the Philips Candeo LED TV will be launched Q1 of 2006.
The resolution for the 6mm (pixel size) is actually just 384x216 pixels. Contrast ratio is 2000:1 and the viewing angle is 150 degrees. The depth of the LED display is just 15,8cm.
More details on the Philips Vidiwall site.
