It is clear that at some point Apple will bring the new multi-touch screen they introduced with the iPhone to other devices like the iPod. Digitimes reports that already in August Apple would ship iPods with touchscreens.
Apparently Taiwanese Wintek got the order from Apple to supply touchscreens for a new iPod.
This is a plain rumor at this point. To launch a new product in August would be a bit unusual. I assume we see a touchscreen iPod earliest this Holiday shopping season.
