The new Creative portable player that was supposed to be introduced in Europe these days has appeared now in Japan first.
The Creative Zen Vision:M (Creative, please find a new way of naming your products, try one word) features a 30GB hard-drive and a form-factor that is really just very close to the new Apple iPod video. The 2.5 inch screen has 320x240 pixels. The Zen Vision:M plays MP3 and WMA-DRM audio files and MPEG-1/2/4, WMV, Motion JPEG, DivX 4/5 and Xvid videos.
The Creative Zen Vision:M is nearly double as thick as the new Apple iPod, which just shows that Apple is ahead in the portable player technology.
The only thing the Creative Zen Vision:M has going for it is that it plays more formats and has a FM-Tuner and Voice recorder. Features that Apple refuses to integrate into iPods for some reason. The price for the Creative Zen Vision:M in Japan is supposed to be around $328 and the portable video player comes in three colors.
