Sanyo announces a new compact digital camcorder VPC-HD1, which can record HD video to SD cards.
The Sanyo VPC-HD1 records 720p video at 30 frames per second in MP4 format. The compact camcorder features a similar look to the Xacti DMX-C6.
Features of the Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD1 include: 5.36MP CCD, 5.1MP still photo resolution, 2.2 inch screen and 10x zoom.The VPC-HD1 will be available in the United States in March for $800.
