Toshiba also (see the new Sony HDD Handycam) introduces new HDD based digital camcorder in their Gigashot product line at the CES 2006.
Toshiba launched the Gigashot V10 4GB HDD camcorder in September in Japan. The new Gigashot GSC-R30 features a 30GB HDD and the GSC-R60 comes with 60GB hard-drive.
The new Gigashot HDD camcorders record in MPEG-2, have a 2.5" LCD screen, 2MP CCD and SD memory card slot. Apparently the new HDD camcorders also have a Ethernet port besides a USB 2.0 port for data transfer.
The Toshiba Gigashot GSC-R30 is supposed to retail for $799 in February 2006. The GSC-R60 has a price of $999 and also come February 2006.
