Robert Oschler, the developer of the free open source Robosapien Dance machine software notified us that he published a new video
showing the capabilities of his latest version.
The 1 min. video a Robosapien V2, an original Robosapien, and a Robopet interacting in a funny robot skit. (Lot's of burping involved). Clearly WowWee improved the Burping on the V2 dramatically.
The Robosapien V2 will start shipping from Amazon.com for $229.99 on February 1st. Sharper Image already ships the Signature Series Robosapien V2 for currently reduced price of $229.95.
Robert Oschler about Robosapien Dance:
"Robosapien Dance Machine is my free open source program that lets you use a Windows PC to control your WowWee robot. It was the SourceForge Project Of The Month for May 2005.
The program's user friendly graphical drag and drop interface makes it easy to create fun powerful scripts that make your robot dance and act in funny
performances that you design. The current publicly available version only supports the original Robosapien. The next version is not out yet, but it was used in-house to make the teaser video. That version supports the entire WowWee robot family line; including the original Robosapien, the Robosapien V2, the Roboraptor, and the Robopet.
Version 3, when it is released, will contain two other exciting features which include the original ability to command your robot using just your voice instead of using the complex remote control, and the ability to instantly share scripts with other users via a script bank. These can be scripts that you created or scripts created by others."
