The online video store Google announced at the CES 2006 is not getting any good reviews.
NY Times' David Pogue says that the Google video store is appallingly half-baked. Quarter-baked, in fact. A review by the Associate Press is titled "Google Store Rough Around Edges".
The Register has a fun (nasty) report about the Google video store that also mentions video delivery bugs and Google refunding money to early shoppers who did not receive purchased videos.I definitely think Google came out to early with the store function on their video service. The offered content is really very unattractive. We decided to upload some of our CES 2006 video coverage to improve the offered video content. The videos are free of course. :)
