Japanese Toy maker Tomy will launch the EQ Trainer in March.
EQ stands for Emotional Intelligence Quotient (This is different from IQ). The Tomy EQ Trainer is a small and low-cost PDA with touch screen. It is geared towards business people to improve their social/emotional intelligence. It is a QA type learning program. Tomy partnered with a consulting company called EQ Japan.
The Tomy EQ Trainer will sell for 5250 yen ($45). It is interesting why Tomy is
creating a physical gadget for this type of function. A PC software would work as well. But maybe the fact that it is a gadget makes it more attractive to consumers.
More details on Nikkeibp (Japanese) and on the Tomy EQ Trainer site (Japanese).
