Sony is apparently going to show the Sony Playstation 3 in a big way at the Taipei Game Show 2006 (TGS 2006, There is also the Tokyo Game Show, so TGS is not actually not a good abbreviation) taking place February 16-20th.
Update 02/17/06:
Taipei Game Show 2006 News
Digitimes reports that Sony has reserved 80 booths at the TGS show. 20 of them are supposed to be dedicated to the Sony Playstation 3.
That sounds like Sony would be showing more of the Sony PS3 than ever before. Looking at the Sony Exhibitor profile though on the Taipei Game Show site I only see 4 booth numbers listed. But who knows how big those booths are.
The Taipei Game Show draws about 500,000 visitors and is the 2nd largest gaming show in Asia.
The appearance of the Sony PS3 at the CES 2006 was very disappointing. I think it is time for Sony to give confidence to the Sony fan community that the PS3 launch is around the corner and that the console lives up to its promises.
Gamestop is still sticking to its October release dates for PS3 games in the USA.
