Toshiba announces the V604T mobile phone that features a terrestrial analog TV tuner and FM tuner. This is an interesting move as most new TV mobile phones sport a digital TV tuner (DMB or DVB-H).
The Toshiba V604T will be available through Vodafone in Japan. It features a retro retractable rod antenna to receive analog broadcasts. Besides TV and radio it supports a music player and miniSD card slot.
Other features include 1.3MP digital camera, email application and irDA. The V604T measures 50x103x25mm.
Interestingly Toshiba warns in the press-release (Japanese) that analog TV will be turned off 2011.
